Are you afraid to fail? Has fear of being made a fool kept you from attempting something new? The Bible tells us that fear has torment, fear can paralyze you, and fear will keep you safe in the boat. And a study taken of teenagers stated that doing public speaking is their number one fear. The second most fearful thing for teens is they fear being different than their peers who might make fun of them. Listen carefully to the following:
You've failed many times already, although you may not remembered,
You fell down the first time you tried to walk.
You almost drowned the first time you tried to swim...didn't you?
Did you hit the ball the first time you swung a bat?
Heavy hitters, the ones who hit the most home runs, also strike out a lot.
R. H. Macy failed seven times before his store in New York caught on.
English novelist John Creasey got 753 rejection slips before he published.
Babe Ruth struck out 1,330, but he also hit 714 home runs.
Don't worry about failure.
Worry about the chances you miss when you don't EVEN TRY!

I like that line, "Don't worry about failure!" It's a great life concept! Yes, you might fail...but if you don't try you might not succeed, either. The person who becomes a success in life is the person who does more than is necessary to get by...and keeps on doing it!
"The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you and carefully follow them" (Deuteronomy 28:13).
