"The Mutiny on the Bounty" is considered by many people to be a classic in literature. The mutineers from the ship "bounty" with a number of Tahitian women and some more men decided to make their home on what they called the "Rock of the West," better known as "Pitcairn Island." They believed it would the perfect place to hide because it was away from the main shipping lanes and it had only one place to land a ship.

However..."The Rock" was an excellent place to hide from others, from others who would hunt them down because of their mutiny. BUT THEY COULD NOT HIDE FROM THEMSELVES! Eventually their evil ways overcame them. There were several years of brawling, immorality, drunkenness and murder until John Adams found he was the ONLY man left on the island along with the women and children.

He really didn't know what to do, but knowing he had to do something, he dug into the old ship's chest and brought out the old "Bounty Bible." He began reading it and soon discovered his heart and life changed. Then, every day he gathered the woman and children together and read to them and taught them the ways of Jesus.

Then one day, a ship finally landed and discovered that Pitcairn Island had become a community of Christians who were productive, busy and living joyful lives that were at peace with each other.

If you've never read this book...today might be a good time to start. It's another story of how the grace and mercy of God can and will change people who will take the time to read and obey the Good Book! Have you read your Bible...TODAY?

"I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against You!" (Psalm 119:11)
