If you had been alive, when Jesus walked this earth, and you had the opportunity to ask him any question...what would you have asked?
If you had been alive, when Jesus walked this earth, and you had the opportunity to ask him any question...what would you have asked? Maybe your question has already been asked. How about this one that has been asked: "Master...WHICH IS THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT?" Is this question like the one you'd like to ask? Well...how did Jesus answer this very important question?
He told us about how GOD loves us and how we are to love as a response: "I give you a new commandment; love one another, just as I have loved you, YOU MUST LOVE ONE ANOTHER! " So...how do we really do this? Listen to the following essay about love and I'm sorry to tell you that I don't know who wrote this.
If I have mastered the language ever so perfectly and speak as a pundit, but have not the love that grows the heart...I have NOTHING!
If I have decorations and diplomas and academic honors but have not the touch of understanding love...I am NOTHING!
If I have great ideals and plans and wonderful visions but have not the love that sweats and bleeds and weeps and prays and pleads...I am NOTHING!
If I can heal all kinds of sickness and disease but wound hearts and hurt feelings for want of a love that is kind...I am NOTHING!
If I write books and publish learned articles but fail to transcribe the Word of the Cross into the language of love...I am NOTHING!
I challenge YOU to love as God has loved us and then we'll be something special in God's eyes...something special...something like Jesus Christ!
"A new command I give you: Love one another, as I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:14-15).
