We earthlings are "in process," like larvae ... eating, growing ... preparing for what we shall be in God's glorious tomorrow.
This life is, to one who believes in eternity, the "in-between" stage of existence ... not bad, but certainly not what we were bom for!
Life's short span is full of feeling, of desire, of feverish activity, and of hope. It leaves a lot to be desired and is very vulnerable. And for those who don't understand ultimate reality, the "larvae" stage isn't all that exciting.
But for us who know ... The cocoon stage just ahead holds no fear, for we shall emerge in all the glory for which we were created.
We wait for exquisite beauty. We wait for mobility. We wait for the flowers of heaven with all their sweetness. We wait for fulfillment.
As a child of God ... as "enlightened larvae" we accept the process, knowing the joy that is set before us!
"Beloved, now are we sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is” (1 John 3:2).
