Be The Salt.

The Devil's heyday is when contented Christians embrace the principles and life-lessons found in Scripture, but stop short of believing the Bible is actually literal Truth--word for word and cover to cover. Our enemy rejoices even more when entire churches fall for his line, and turn around and teach a "compromised Christianity". CESM aims to bring Christians to a realization of the Truth of God's Word.  We know if a person will believe Genesis 1:1a, "In the beginning God created..." and trust in God's global flood judgment, all supposed Scriptural problems--and the resulting compromise positions--will disappear.

Our passion to help Christians find the Truth began when I realized the extent of my own compromised faith. At that time I was a trustee in my church and worshipping a Jesus who used millions of years of time to get us here. Then I saw the facts supporting God's Word and six-day Creation (mentioned in the Ten Commandments found in Exodus 20), and I dedicated my life to serving seekers who are still compromising Scripture.

Compromising Christians come in two basic varieties: Ignorant Compromisers or ICs (as I used to be) and Willingly Ignorant Compromisers or WICs. Since God rejects compromise throughout Scripture, and because God is the same today as He was yesterday, out of love for our brethren, CESM messages present the Truth. We pray the Holy Spirit will use our efforts to set true seekers free from the death traps of man-made compromises. (Colossians 1:8)

In Mathew 7:15-20, Jesus tells us to distinguish good from bad by the fruit, and compromise has been at the root of every sin since Eve ate from the forbidden tree in the Garden of Eden. But an uncompromised Truth exposes the WICs!  This is why they killed the prophets, called Jesus Beelzebub, and nailed our Messiah to a cross.  Today, WICs throw terms such as "derogatory", "unloving" or "mean-spirited" toward Believers who stand firm for the faith.  Such slander is simply a diversion to keep ICs from hearing the Truth and realizing that the WICs have been leading them to accept Scriptural compromises under the guise of being "loving". However, "Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully." (Jeremiah 48:10).

Joanna and I recently traveled to a town 165 miles from our home to present "Noah's Ark and Dinosaurs" to a hundred kids at a Christian school near Show Low, AZ.  When we arrived, both the principal and the teachers were extremely unfriendly toward us.  Since I had no idea what their issue was, I set up my equipment and shared a fun message with the students.  Afterward, several teachers thanked us for coming--but the principal continued to rudely snub us. Although we operate 100% on love gifts, they didn't provide a penny for our time or costs.  I later learned that the principal had called one of the larger churches in Flagstaff. This church has many Godly members who have no clue that their pastoral staff is made of of 6 WICs--whom dislike CESM intensely! These WICs told the principal slanderous lies about me, which led to the rudeness we encountered.

It is no wonder that our Lord Jesus Christ, the pinnacle of love, had no tolerance for WICs.  Jesus' harshest words were directed toward these wolves in sheep's clothing who misled the masses in order to gain earthly riches and power.  Jesus' comments toward WICs, from the book of Matthew, include: "O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? (12:34a) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness (23:27) ...how can ye escape the damnation of hell?" (23:33b)." God's Word is indeed "...sharper than any two edged sword." (Hebrews 4:12)

Since we are saved by God's grace in faith, we should be concerned that compromise positions reflect a lack of faith in both Jesus and His Word.  Yet WICs consider uncompromising Believers to be intolerant, the ultimate sin in today's secular society. Tolerance mistaken for "love" is a cancer spreading through the modern church.  By associating Christian love with "tolerance," it is now viewed as mean-spirited to correct our fellow ICs.  Of course this makes it impossible for iron to sharpen iron and leads to further erosion of the Truth and a heyday for the WICs.

Having been an IC, my heart is to reach other ICs and bring them to realize that the Bible truly is the Word of their Creator and is a trustworthy guide for their lives. At CESM, we consider it loving to help seekers put their faith in our Lord and Savior, known to us from God's Word, so they will remain on that narrow path that leads through that straight gate into Heaven. We also believe that tolerance which allows seekers to worship a non-Scriptural form of Jesus may be leading them down the broad path to destruction and we consider such to be terribly unloving. "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." (Proverbs 27:6).

Rhetoric aside, the Truth leaves ICs and WICs with a choice: repent and humble themselves to their loving Creator; or continue on as WICs.  No wonder that WICs hate us and former ICs love us. "Rebuke a scorner and they will hate you; rebuke a wise man and they will love you." (Proverbs 9:8)

Today, few Christians are willing to risk their ministry, financial security, or friendships to confront the compromise in the Church.  In Matthew 5:13 Jesus challenged us, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." Though salt may sting when it gets into a wound, it also saves and preserves. Being the salt is one of the most loving things a Believer can be.
