Pastors and Webmasters, the purpose of 'Director's Choice'  is to remind you of timely festivals and events that warrent you syndicating pertinent content to your Church Web Site. When we keep our congregation aware of the meaning and purpose of some of these events, we nurture and educate our people in the knowledge of the faith in which they stand.

Here are some May Holiday dates: 3rd; 27; 26-28 you may wish to think about as you choose articles and seasonal categories to populate your site content.

May 3rd USA National day of Prayer Interfaith celebration.

May 27th Pentecost Sunday. Pentecost comes from a Greek word which means 'fiftieth'. The festival is often called Pentecost because when the disciples received the Holy Spirit and began to go out and preach about Jesus it was the Jewish festival of Pentecost.  
Also known as Whit Sunday in the U.K. Whit Sunday is a favourite day for baptism. It is thought that because people are often baptised dressed in white, Whit Sunday was probably originally known as 'White Sunday'.

May 26th - 28th Secular dates:The Hebrews celebrate this festival as Shavout. In the Torah it was designated as the time of the wheat harvest. It is now generally celebrated for the giving of the Law on Mt. Sinai.

Late May is also the time when most Schools and Colleges in the USA hold graduation ceremonies, with students thinking about a future in college or finding jobs.
