The following article addresses questions and answers about Syndicating to your Church web site.

Your church is seeking to impact the community where it is located. You had a web site built, to serve your people and hope to attract visitors to your church with it.

Have you done any research to find out what the community is interested in? Have you asked these questions from your own people who are resident in the community?

Once you have done this research, it is time to take a hard look at the content on your site. What is on there that will meet the needs of seekers in your community? Get a group together and put your website up on the Church screen, and page through the site. Record the comments from your audience, have someone take notes, and get a feel for what areas need changing.

Also ask the question, ‘What is not on there, which should be?’ Church Web site designers are clear about some priorities.

The first page of your web site should be designed to welcome visitors to your Church. Seven out of ten people will google for a church in the community. If there is a web site for that Church, they will visit it before ever entering your campus. Will they learn on that first page that visitors are welcome? Is there mention of Children’s services, nursery care for your little ones, and teen facilities for your older ones? Are the service times clearly visible on the same page?

Building a web site is a specialist’s job, but putting content on the pages is simple and easy. Your congregation will more than likely have someone who can add the content. It is up to you, the Pastor and the leadership, to determine the content, get it written and edited. Pasting it to the page is the easy part. Your membership, will know you are using the first page to welcome and inform possible visitors.

Members will know the ‘Tabs’ to click to find the Men, Women, Youth and Kids pages. The content for those pages will contain the purpose of the group, and upcoming events, pictures of past recent events, and news or projects envisioned. Each area needs to be updated, monthly, either by competent members of the group, or by submitting the information to the person responsible for updating the web site.

Discipleship content for new believers is becoming more important. Especially for the church with fewer meetings weekly. Many churches are finding difficulty obtaining safe, biblical discipleship articles and Bible study courses. Focus on becoming a ‘Resource’ for your online audience. This means posting new material on Discipleship and Bible Study every month. You do not want to post a “Link” to another web site, as that link will take your reader to another web site, and not keep them on your own Church site. What is the answer to this above problem?

It is a simple strategy called ‘Syndication’. This allows you to find safe Biblical articles from a leading provider, who has vetted the content, for theological and doctrinal correctness. You pick the article(s) you want on your site, then you log on to the Syndication part of the source web site, and click on the article you want. You will then see a ‘script’ that you simply copy, then go to your own web site, find the page you wish to place the article, and paste that small piece of ‘script’ on that page.

The Article you needed will appear on your site. Just as you saw it on the other site you syndicated it from. Your readers do not get taken to another site, they stay right on your Church web site page to read it, and all the other articles you have for them there as well.

www.GlobalChristianCenter.com is the premier Evangelism web site of Network211.com. They are the ministry reaching 21.9 million people in the past few years with the Gospel. The Global Christian Center web site is where all the Discipleship articles are. About 700 people access it daily.
