The Unbelievable Salary

At the conclusion of a quite lengthy employment interview, the Human Resources Manager looked at the young graduate engineer...who was right out of college...and point blank asked him, "Now, what range of salary are you thinking you should have if we hire you at our company?"

moneyoncalenderThe young, ambitious, confident job seeking graduate thought for a moment or two and said: "Oh, I was thinking somewhere in the range of $150,000 depending, of course on the size of the benefits package you will offer."

The Manager sat back in his chair and responded: "Then...what would you think about an offer that included six weeks vacation a year beginning with your first year? How about twenty days for holidays and personal days? How about a full health insurance package, including dental, paid in full by the company? And to top it off you will receive a hefty bonus annually and a retirement fund that would continue to pay you a full salary for the rest of your life, including all benefits, for the rest of your life? Oh, and one more thing, how would you like a signing bonus of a new Porsche 911 sports car including a credit card to cover all your expenses?"

The young college grad just about fell off his chair. He could not believe what he was hearing. He gasped and said, "That's really great! You've got to be kidding!"

The Manager said, "Well, yes, I am kidding...but you started it."

OKAY...when you begin job hunting for real, where will you start? Always keep this tidbit in your mind...THE ONLY PLACE WHERE SUCCESS COMES BEFORE WORK IS IN THE DICTIONARY!

For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busy-bodies.
