Central Thought: Everyone receives a daily message about God
The western world thrives in an information age upon constant and up-to-date information concerning business and finance as well as news events that influence people as they make daily decisions. In this era of high-speed Internet and digital information exchange, it almost seems archaic to see stacks of newsprint tumbling out of a delivery truck in the early morning hours to be sorted and distributed, and later to find itself beside an executive's breakfast plate or neatly placed in front of a hotel room door. For the longest time this has been a modern convenience and has long eclipsed smoke signals, telegraph, and pony express rider. Incredibly though, much of the planet is still quite unaware of such news. It is still a worthy objective to cover the globe with an exchange of information and news, but in reality most people lack any connection to much of the world beyond their immediate villages.
God has been giving information on a daily basis to the entire planet. It is published and delivered instantly in the Daily Cosmos Times. It is in a form that is not bound by standards for digital publishing or translation requirements. Each night a black tapestry is unfurled, and stars and planets are observed in their mathematically precise positions. Thunderstorms pile up and illuminate the heavens with jabs of light while deep-throated thunder rumbles for miles. The sun rises at its appointed time and makes its precise journey across the globe. All of these events nudge all of humanity towards considering a potentially life-changing question: 'Who or what made these spectacular things to be so?” The Psalmist declared it this way: 'The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalms 19:1).
Devotional Prayer: Lord, help me to never overlook the declaration of Your glory that is delivered to me every day. Help me to consider the message that is delivered in Your creation.
