Central Thought: Love is the most critical revelation of God's nature
Throughout the history of man there has always been religious expression. There has always been an attempt by mankind to deal with the twin issues of origin and meaning that beat within the human heart. We find a rather unique declaration about God that is simple and incredibly powerful. It is nestled among the simple lyrics of a song: 'He is good; his love endures forever” (2 Chron. 5:13).
Consider for a moment the weight of that simple statement: He is morally good (He is not fickle and unpredictable) and His LOVE (His tender mercy, care, and concern) endures forever (time without end). When this is accepted—when this dawns upon the human heart and is declared, when love is revealed—then God's glory can come in fullness. Just as that day in Solomon's temple when the Glory of God filled the place, God's glory fills the human heart, and there is no place left for man's meager religious inventions.
Devotional Prayer: Help me to declare Your love so that Your glory might fill me as Your temple!
