Central Thought: We can be prepared for the return of Jesus.
Who could have seen it coming!
Since September 11, 2001, many critics of the United States government have placed blame on the Bush administration for missing the signs of impending disaster. Government panels were formed to look back over the 'clues” that were missed. But any honest evaluation would have to conclude that since this was not an event anyone would have dreamed of, it was nearly impossible to recognize the clues and put them together to avoid this horrific tragedy.
Fortunately, we do not have to be caught off-guard concerning the return of Jesus. Sadly, many people will be left behind when the rapture of the Church occurs, but the Bible is clear about the signs. Thus, those who are left behind will not have an excuse for missing the Rapture. Although we have not been given the day and the time for the event, we have been told to keep our eyes open and to be prepared for the day when Jesus will return to gather those who are prepared for His coming.
Will you be prepared?
Devotional Prayer: Lord, help me to remain prepared for Your return.
