March 16 - Life's Most Fragile Gift

choiLife's Most Fragile Gift

LIFE'S MOST FRAGILE GIFT

Quickly...think: WHAT IS THE MOST FRAGILE GIFT YOU HAVE AS A TEENAGER? Ready to give up? It's something that can be lost. It's something that can be taken away. It's something all of us have. Each day it must be used up because it can never be taken back.

Let's look at it this way. Suppose you have just won the lottery, this grand prize is unlimited but it will be given to you each day at midnight. $1,440 will be deposited in your bank account at 12:01 AM each morning. There is one catch...you will be required to spend it all on the next day. This will go on as long as you live! You are not allowed to carry any of it on to the next day...each night at midnight your account must be zeroed! You will need to spend each days amount wisely.

EVERY DAY you are given exactly 1,440 minutes, 86,400 seconds. It's a gift for every one of us! Each night your account is zeroed and you start over...every day with 1,440 minutes! It's TIME! How many of these allotments will you be given? Nobody knows except God.

Therefore it goes without saying, but I'm asking you anyway: Are you making good use of all 1,440 minutes in each day? Are you living each day to the fullest? When your account is finished will you have spent those minutes wisely? You may be thinking, "I'm too young to be bothered by this issue, besides I have lots of life to live."

Benjamin Franklin said: "Lost time is never found again." So live well because you will never get any of those 1,440 minutes you have lived back again!

"It is time to seek the Lord" (Hosea 10:12).
