Study # 10 Resurrection of the Dead

Aim: To show that the Resurrection is for all; is Physical, and there are two Resurrections.

Hebrews 6:2. “Resurrection of the Dead” is the fifth in the Doctrines of Jesus.

John 5:28       All that are in the Graves shall hear His Voice.

Every person who ever lived will rise from the dead in the Resurrection.

Luke 24:39    Resurrection is a return to life of the Physical Mortal Body.

Romans 8:23 ‘redemption of our Body.

Job 19:25-27 ‘in my flesh shall I see God’.

1 Cor. 15:35 & 42  The Resurrected Body is the old body raised with Incorruptible properties.

1 Thess. 4:16-17  Dead Believers are resurrected with incorruptible bodies, and the living believers’ bodies will be changed, becoming incorruptible, and both will be caught up to meet the Lord in the Air.

2 Cor. 5:8.       The Person does not die, but goes to be with the Lord Instantly.(Phil.1:21-23)

The Body is described as asleep (Jhn.11:11).

John 5:29        Jesus taught TWO resurrections.

First that of the Just to the Resurrection of Life. Rev.20:4-5

Second the Unjust to the Resurrection of Damnation. This occurs

                        about 1000 years later. Rev.20: 7, 11-12.

Note: Rev.20:6 The Second has no power over those of the First!

1 Cor. 15:12-20.  Jesus lives!  By resurrection, not resuscitation!

Resurrection is our hope for Eternal Life.

Acts 24:14-16 Paul taught and lived this.

We too must be ready and holy, for life is uncertain.
